LAST NIGHT, THE JACKSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS PURCHASED THE PENROSE HOME ON WEST PLATT, NEXT TO  THE LAW CENTER, FOR
$200,000F.    IT WILL BE TURNED INTO OFFICES FOR THE COUNTY.
THE PENROSE FAMILY WILL DONATE $5,000 BACK TO THE COUNTY.

NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED WHEN A VEHICLE SLAMMEDD INTO A COW
AAT 8:56 P.M. LAST NIGHT ON 250TH AVENUE, 3 MILES SOUTH OF ANDREW.
BRANDON COIN, AGE 16, WAS DRIVING SOUTH AND A COW WAS STANDING
IN THE ROAD AND COIN HIT IT.    THE COW WAS KILLED AND OWNED BY
SHANE STEFFEN OF BELLEVUE.    COIN'S 99 PONTIAC WAS A TOTAL LOSS.

MAQUOKETA AT MARION TONIGHT....KICK-OFF 7:30.

DEWITT PLAYS AT SOLON.   WILL BE A GOOD CLOSE GAME,  PLUS....THE
TWO  HEAD COACHES ARE BROTHERS!   BROTHER AGAINST BROTHER
ON THE SIDELINES.

I'LL HAVE SCORES HERE TOMORROW MORNING.

MAQUOKETA IS GETTING A  CONSIGNMENT STORE (WE NO LONGER HAVE ONE) AND IT WILL BE OPENING SOON, IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA AND
THE STORE WILL ALSO HAVE SANDWICHES AND CANDY AND MORE.

THERE IS A SIGN IN THE WINDOW.
