AND PLAY MARION FOR THEIR  HOMECOMING THIS FRIDAY NIGHT.
DEWITT BEAT MARION FRIDAY NIGHT.

THE HOMECOMING ROYALTY WAS CROWNED YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.
THE HOMECOMING QUEEN IS JADE KILBURG, DAUGHTER OF CHARLENE
AND JOE KILBURG OF RURAL LAMOTTE.
THE KING IS CALE GENT, SON OF CHRIS AND SKOTT GENT.
THE THEME FOR HOMECOMING IS "DANCING THROUGH THE DECADES, STEP UP FOR A WIN".
A PARADE WILL BE  HELD IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
WINDOWS, INCLUDING KMAQ'S, ARE DECORATED ON MAIN STREET.

SERVICES ARE PENDING FOR 46 YEAR OLD CATHY BANOWETZ OF CLINTON.
SHE DIED UNEXPECTEDLY FRIDAY.    SURVIVORS INCLUDE HER MOTHER, MARY, OF MAQUOKETA AND HER FATHER DELBERT, OF I BELIEVE MISSOURI.

THIS BAND IS COMING TO OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER FOR TWO PERFORMANCES ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17TH.    MORNING AND AFTERNOON.

JACKSON COUNTY DEMOCRATS

THE JACKSON COUNTY DEMOCRATS HELD THEIR ANNUAL STEAK FRY
LAST NIGHT AT THE KALMES RESTAURANT AT ST. DONATUS.    WINDY
HIMSELF PREPARED THE RIBEYE STEAKS.   
A FULL HOUSE FOR THE EVENT TO SEE TWO JACKSON COUNTY LONGTIME
DEMOCRATS INDUCTED INTO THE JACKSON COUNTY HALL OF FAME.

ROBERTA ROSHEIM OF MAQUOKETA WAS PRESENTED  HER HALL OF FAME PLAQUE BY FORMER STATE REPRESENTATIVE BOB OSTERHAUS OF MAQUOEKETA.    ROBERTA, A MAQUOKETA EDUCATOR FOR 36 YEARS, HAS
BEEN A PARTY VOLUNTEER THAT LONG OR LONGER.   SHE IS RETIRED FROM
TEACHING BUT CONTINUES TO BE ACTIVE IN PROMOTING DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES.
FORMER STATE SENATOR ROGER STEWART OF RURAL MAQUOKETA PRESENTED THE HALL OF FAME PLAQUE TO RICK DICKENSON OF SABULA.
RICK FIRST WAS SABULA MAY0R, THEN CITY COUNCILMAN, THEN JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISOR, THEN STATE REPRESENTATIVE, THEN CANDIDATE FOR CONGRESS (ALMOST WINNING) AND NOW CONTINUES A SUCCESSFUL
CAREER AS CEO OF  THE GREATER DUBUQUE CORPORATION, WHICH HAS
AND CONTINUES TO BRING NEW INDUSTRY AND BUSINESS TO DUBUQUE.
