JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF RUSS KETTMAN HAS PROMOTED TWO OF HIS
DEPUTIES TO NEW POSITIONS.     DEPUTY STEVE SCHROEDER HAS BEEN NAMED AS THE NEW CHIEF DEPUTY, CREATED WHEN DEPUTY ED CLARK
RETIRED THIS SUMMER.    AND DEPUTY BRANDON BECK HAS BEEN
NAMED THE NEW LEAD INVESTIGATOR, THE POSITION FORMERLY HELD
BY SCHROEDER.

YESTERDAY MORNING, MICHAEL JONES REPORTED TO THE MAQUOKETA POLICE THAT A MO-PED WAS TAKEN FROM HIS APARTMENT PARKING LOT ON WESTERN AVENUE.
ALSO ON WESTERN AVENUE, GENE RONNFELDT REPORTED THAT HIS BILLFOLD WAS TAKEN FROM HIS APARTMENT.
KELLY DARR ON SOUTH 4TH STREET REPORTED A WINDOW HAD BEEN
BROKEN OUT AT HER HOME.    IT WAS LEARNED LATER THAT 4 OTHER WINDOWS HAD BEEN BROKEN IN THE AREA.
