NICE TODAY...PARTLY SUNNY AND 75.

THE JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISORS WILL HOST A PUBLIC HEARING NEXT WEEK TO GET INPUT ABOUT THE COUNTY PLAN TO LEASE THE WELCOME CENTER AT SABULA TO THE JACKSON COUNTY TOURISM ASSOCIATION. THE REPLICA OF AN OLD ONE-ROOM SCHOOL WOULD BE OPERATED MAINLY BY VOLUNTEERS.

THE MAQUOKETA COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD HAS WORKED OUT AN AGREEMENT FOR SHARED SERVICES FOR THE NEW CLINTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE BUILDING
JUST EAST OF THE HIGH SCHOOL. MONDAY NIGHT, THE BOARD APPROVED AN AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE, FOR A FEE, SNOW REMOVAL, MOWING, JANITORIAL
SERVICES, AND EMERGENCY TECH SERVICES TO THE BUILDING.
THE NEW COLLEGE BUILDING IS SCHEDULED TO OPEN FOR CLASSES THIS FALL.
MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WILL BE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE COLLEGE CLASSES IN THE BUILDING, AS WELL AS COMMUNITY MEMBERS.
FOR MANY YEARS, SOME CLASSES HAVE BEEN TAUGHT AT THE OLD YOUTH CENTER BUILDING NEXT TO THE OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL. STARTING IN AUGUST, THERE WILL BE MORE CLASSES AND ALL IN THE BEAUTIFUL NEW BUILDING.
SHOULD BE A BIG PLUS FOR MAQUOKETA.

ON THE POLICE BLOTTER, LAURA STANTON REPORTED THAT SOMEONE HAD THROWN GASOLINE ON HER GARDEN.
DEBBIE BRECHT REPORTED SOMEONE STOLE HER SON'S GO-CART.
JAMES MCCUTCHEON SAID THAT SOME MEDICATIONS WERE TAKEN FROM HIS PLACE ON YALE AVENUE AND TIMBER CITY PLAZA TRUCK STOP SAID SOMEONE
TOOK TWO CELL PHONE BATTERY CHARGERS.

THANKS FOR CHECKING IN AGAIN.
