COUPLE BIRTHS IN THE NEWS TODAY. A GIRL, BORN MARCH 30TH AT MERCY IN DUBUQUE TO DAVID AND KATE MOORE OF DUBUQUE. DAVID WAS A KMAQ
STUDENT ANNOUNCER (A GOOD ONE TOO) FOR SEVERAL YEARS. PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS ARE DAVE AND NANCY MOORE OF MAQUOKETA.
ALSO, CHAD AND SARA OWEN OF MINNEAPOLIS ARE PARENTS OF A GIRL BORN SUNDAY, APRIL 5TH. PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS ARE DOUG AND JEANNE OWEN OF MAQUOKETA.

THE MAQUOKETA IKES ANNUAL (THINK IT WAS 79TH ANNUAL) FISH FRY WAS HELD LAST MONTH AT THE CLUB HOUSE AT THE SOUTH EDGE OF MAQUOKETA.
GOOD TURNOUT AGAIN. GOOD FISH. THE KITCHEN ABOVE WAS BUSY ALL
DAY FROM EARLY IN THE MORNING UNTIL EARLY EVENING.
