MONDAY DAILY

JUNE 30, 2019....JUNE ENDS WITH 70 MPH WINDS IN THE KMAQ AREA..... LATE
AFTERNOON AROUND 6 P.M. AND AFTER
THIS IS JEFF HOFFMANN'S HOME 10 MILES EAST OF MAQUOKETA ON HIGHWAY 64.    MORE PHOTOS I TOOKTHIS AFTERNOON....JEFF LIVES ALONE HERE.   HIS WIFE DIED FROM BRAIN CANCER ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO.    SHE WAS A LONGTIME BEAUTICIAN ON THE CORNER IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA.   JEFF ISA TRUCK DRIVER FOR U.S.F. HOLLANDAND WAS ABOUT TO VISIT HIS MOTHER IN ROCK ISLAND WHEN THE STORM HITHIS 20 YEAR OLD HOME.   HE GOT A CALL FROM A FRIEND AND HURRIED HOME.    THE HOUSE IS INSURED.
THE GARAGE CAN NOT BE FIXED BUT THERE
IS A GOOD CHANCE THE HOME CAN.
IT IS DAMAGED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.
NOTE THE CEILING OF KITCHEN...GONE.
NO PET WAS IN THE HOUSE.

MAQUOKETA IS CLEANING UP DOWNED
TREES AND DOWNED BRANCHES JUST ABOUT ALL OVER TOWN.   THE STORM
CAME FROM THE NORTHWEST AND
CAME DOWN OVER BALDWIN,  TO
MAQUOKETA AND WENT EASTWARD
AND ALSO TO THE SOUTH IN THE QUAD CITY.

I TOOK MY CAMERA TO GET GET SOME
OF THE WORST DAMAGE IN MAQUOKETA...

LONG TIME SINCE MAQUOKETA HAS HAD A STORM LIKE LAST NIGHTS!!
