THE FRIDAY DAILY REPORT FOR 6-29 IS BELOW!
WE GOT SOME RAIN THIS MORNING....ABOUT A HALF-INCH HERE IN
MAQUOKETA.    MORE IN SOME AREAS AROUND US, ESPECIALLY  TO
THE SOUTH IN PARTS OF CLINTON COUNTY.    MORE IS FORECAST FOR
TONIGHT.     STILL GOING TO BE A HOT WEEKEND!  BECAUSE OF  THE
CLOUDS AND RAIN, TODAY'S HIGH WAS LOWER THAN PREDICTED.
WE GOT  UP TO 82.

AT THE HOSPITAL BOARD MEETING THIS WEEK IN MAQUOKETA,  SOME
NEW SERVICES ARE IN THE WORKS.    ADMINISTRATOR CURT COLEMAN
SAID THEY ARE AWAITING THE ARRIVAL OF THE FINAL PIECES OF EQUIPMENT WHICH WILL ALLOW THEM TO DO KNEE SURGERY.
ALSO, SOME GYNECOLOGICAL SURGERIES AT THE  HOSPITAL ARE PLANNED ON AN OUT-PATIENT BASIS.   AND, COLEMAN ALSO SAID THAT EAR, NOSE AND THROAT CLINICS ARE BEING HELD ON A LIMITED BASIS AND HE SAID  THEY HOPE TO INCREASE THE USE OF THOSE AREAS.   HE SAID SURGICAL
PROCEDURES COULD BE PERFORMED FOR PODIATRY PATIENTS IN THE FUTURE.
ALSO AT THE BOARD MEETING, THE BOARD LEARNED THAT GERALYN EVANS, AN RN AT THE HOSPITAL FOR MORE THAN 37 YEARS RETIRED AT THE
END OF MAY.    SHE STARTED AS A CANDY-STRIPER MORE THAN 37 YEARS AGO IN THE EARLY 70'S AND PURSUED HER NURSING CAREER AS AN LPN

WORKING IN THE ICU AND ACCU.  SHE ALWAYS WORKED AT NIGHT.   A BREAKFAST CELEBRATION WAS HELD IN HER HONOR.
