THURSDAY DAILY

I  TOOK CAMERA THIS AFTERNOON TO THE BLOCK WITH THE THEATRE. WILL GO IN CLOSER BELOW.   NOTE...THE OLD PAVEMETN AND CRACKS IN IT.

WEST PLEASANT STREET LOOKING TOWARD THE LIBRARY.
\
LOOKING ON EAST PLEASANT STREET.   THE CITY NOW OWNS THE DARK GREEN BUILDING, AND HAS OPTION TO BUY THE CORNER MILL.

WHILE DOWN IN THE  "STREETSCAPE" NORTH AREA, I TOOK THE ABOVE PHOTO....A CORNER PORCH POST AT THE HURST HOTEL.
SOME RENTERS TELL ME THE BUILDING NEEDS
ATTENTION.     OVER $4 MILLION DOLLARS MADE IT
INTO A "JEWEL" ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO.    I DO NOT
KNOW WHO OWNS IT....NO ONE LOCAL.   BUT THEN, I NEED TO DO SOMETHING WITH THE FRONT OF
THEATRE AND WILL DO SO NEXT SPRING.

 EVERY THURSDAY MORNING, AT CITY
HALL, THERE IS AN "UP-DATE" MEETING ON
THE STREETSCAPE PROJECT.  THE ABOVE
PHOTO COPY OF THE KMAQ NEWS STORY        TELLS ABOUT THIS MORNING'S MEETING.
IT IS NOW MONTH #6 WITH JUST OVER
3 MONTHS LEFT.   LOTS TO BE DONE
BY THE END OF NOVEMBER.
THEY WILL DO IT!

THE MCH CLASS OF 1954 HAS
ASKED ME TO MENTION THEY
ARE HAVING A 62ND CLASS
REUNION ON SEPTEMBER 24
AT 12:30 P.M. AT THE
HURSTVILLE INTERPRETIVE CENTER.
