THE MAQUOKETA GIRLS LOST LTO NORTHEASTR 3 TO 2 AND THEIR]
RECORD IS 8 AND 16.

THE HOSPITAL BUDGET FOR THE NEW FISCAL YEAR, WHICH STARTS JULY 1ST, WAS ANNOUNCED THIS WEEK.    IT CALLS FOR  $20,045,975 IN
REVENUE.    MINUS CONTRACTURAL ADJUSTMENTS AND BAD DEBT WRITE-OFFS, NET REVENUE IS PROJECTED AT $13,574,163.
TOTAL EXPENSES WILL BE $13,616,543, LEAVING AN OPERATING LOSS
OF $42,830 FOR THE NEW BUDGET.


AN INMATE AT THE JAIL IN MAQUOKETA FLUSHED A BED SHEET DOWN THE TOILET AND IT COST $225 FOR A PLUMBER TO CLEAN OUT THE SHEET.
DAVID OSTRANDER, AGE 19, OF MAQUOKETA, WAS SEEN ON THE VIDEO
SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM.    HE WAS CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE FOURTH DEGREE.     TWO OTHER INMATES IN THE CELL WERE PART OF THE ACT AND THE CAMERA  CAUGHT OSTRANDER FLUSHING THE SHEET AND RECORDED ALL THREE PRISONERS LAUGHING.

ON THE POLICE BLOTTER, LISA JELLIFF REPORTED SOMEONE GLUED SHUT THE LOCK ON HER STORAGE LOCKER IN THE 1200 BLOCK OF EAST PLATT
STREET.
