FOGGY AGAIN THIS MORNING....AND THEN IT BECAME SUNNY AND A NICE DAY
WITH A HIGH OF 60.

THE CITY COUNCIL AWARDED CONTRACTS TO TWO DIFFERENT BIDDERS FOR
MOWING 17 CITY PARCELS.     GIL BERG HAS BEEN MOWING THE CITY PROPERTIES
FOR 10 YEARS.    HIS BID WAS THE HIGHEST FOR  THE THREE YEARS.    ALL WERE ASKED TO MAKE A 3-YEAR BID.    RON SEYS OF WELTON WAS SECOND AT
$106,177 AND ROBERT STEFFANS  OF RURAL BERNARD WAS THE LOWEST BIDDER
AT $105,319.       ON BID FORM, EACH PROPERTY WAS BID SEPARATELY.    THE
COUNCIL TOOK THE LOW BIDS OF EACH PARCEL.     STEFFANS RECEIVED 11 PROPERTIES TO MOW AND SEYS SIX OF THE PARCELS.

FIREMEN WERE BUSY THIS AFTERNOON....CHECK BELOW FOR DETAILS.

IT IS GOING TO BE A BAD WEATHER DAY IN MAQUOKETA SATURDAY.
