A LITTLE SNOW THIS MORNING...THEN CLOUDY AND A HIGH OF 35.
IN THE MID 20'S THIS WEEKEND.

THE MAQUOKETA WRESTLERS WON A NON-CONFERENCE DOUBLE-DUAL
AT CEDAR RAPIDS XAVIER LAST NIGHT.      THE CARDS BEAT CEDAR RAPIDS KENNEDY 38 TO 25 AND THEN BEAT XAVIER 58 TO 25.
IT WAS THE  LAST REGULAR SEASON ACTION FOR THE CARDS.     THEY WILL
START TOURNAMENT ACTION SATURDAY, FEB.13TH AT NORTH SCOTT GYM IN ELDRIDGE.

THE BASKETBALL TEAMS ARE PLAYING DYERSVILLE BECKMAN TONIGHT...
GIRLS ACTION HERE AND BOYS AT DYERSVILLE.

THE NEW CASEY'S GENERAL STORE IS HAVING ITS GRAND OPENING TH IS WEEKEND
ON WESTGATE DRIVE, JUST OFF WEST PLATT STREET.    IT WAS FORMERLY DICK'S EXRESS.    THEY ADDED ON TO THE BUILDING AND HAVE A LARGE KITCHEN AND NEW REST ROOMS AND STORAGE AREA  WITH THE INCREASED SPACE.    THE STORE WILL HAVE MADE TO ORDER  SUB SANDWICHES, SOMETHING THE EAST PLATT STREET STORE DOES NOT HAVE.   ALSO  HOMEMADE PIZZA,  AND DONUTS.    THE CAR WASH IS OPEN AGAIN TOO.   ALSO A BIG SELECTION OF FLAVORED COFFEES AND DESSERTS.    SALLY CHRISTIANSEN IS THE MANAGER.
NICE LOOKING CONVENIENCE STORE.

THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL CHAMBER SINGERS WILL AGAIN DO SINGING VALENTINES NEXT FRIDAY.    CALL NEXT WEEK , 652-2451 TO SCHEDULE ONE.... FOR $15 WITH A ROSE OR BALLOON.    WITH BOTH ROSE AND BALLOON, $20.
