CLOUDY TODAY AND HIGH OF 30.
LIGHT SNOW TONIGHT AND TOMORROW.

TOD BOWMAN HAS ANNOUNCED  HE WILL STEP DOWN AS VARSITY WRESTLING
COACH AFTER THIS SEASON AT MCHS.     HAS HAS BEEN A COACH FOR 21 YEARS,
THE LAST 9 AS VARSITY COACH.      HE HAS THREE YOUNG CHILDREN AND
HAS ALREADY MISSED SOME OF THEIR SCHOOL EVENTS BECAUSE OF HIS
COACHING DUTIES.
THE WRESTLERS ARE IN A DUAL MEET IN CEDAR RAPIDS TONIGHT.

TOMORROW NIGHT, THE GIRLS HOST DYERSVILLE BECKMAN IN BASKETBALL
AND THE BOYS WILL BE PLAYING AT DYERSVILLE.     THREE GAMES AT EACH
SITE.

THE CLEAN-UP OF THE DOWNTOWN FIRE DEBRIS MAY BE FURTHER DELAYED BECAUSE OF ISSUES WITH THE STATE HISTORICAL SOCIETY.     THIS WEEK
THE CITY RECEIVED TWO SIGNATURE FORMS NEEDED FOR THE EPA, BUT
NOT THE MEMO OF UNDERSTANDING FROM THE STATE  HISTORICAL SOCIETY. TO MOVE AHEAD WITH THE CLEAN-UP.     THE REASON THE SOCIETY IS INVOLVED
IS BECAUSE THE FORMER SUE'S HALLMARK BUILDING THAT BURNED DOWN IN THE FIRE WAS ON THE STATE REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES.    THE FIRE HAPPENED TWO YEARS AGO JANUARY 19TH.

NOMINATION PAPERS FOR COUNTY OFFICE ARE AVAILABLE NOW FOR THE JUNE PRIMARY ELECTION.    IN JACKSON COUNTY, TWO SUPEVISORS POSITIONS
ARE OPEN AS WELL AS THE POSITIONS OF COUNTY ATTORNEY, COUNTY TREASURER, AND COUNTY RECORDER.      BOTH SUPERVISORS JACK WILLEY AND STEVE FLYNN HAVE SAID THEY PLAN TO SEEK RE-ELECTION.

GET READY NOW FOR TGIF DAY.
