THURSDAY DAILY

THIS IS THE NEW  ENTRANCE SIGN FOR PRAIRIE CREEK RECREATION AREA
AT THE EAST EDGE OF MAQUOKETA.    THIS BLACK METAL SIGN IS
ATTACHED TO THE BIG BOULDER AND THE SIGN WAS MADE BY CLETUS
GERARDY OF GERARDY WELDING AT 5762 CAVES ROAD, MAQUOKETA.
TERRIFIC JOB.    SATURDAY AFTERNOON, DRIVE BY THIS SIGN ON THE
NEW 2-LANE ASPHALT ROAD  DOWN TO THE PAVALION.   THERE WILL BE
A RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONY OF THE PAVALION AT 1:15.

THE NEW WALKING AND BIKE BRIDGE OVER THE MAQUOKETA RIVER AT THE
NORTH EDGE OF MAQUOKETA IS LOOKING GOOD.   THE PIERS ARE FROM
THE OLD VEHICLE BRIDGE REPLACED MANY YEARS AGO JUST TO THE
EAST.     THE MAQUOKETA TRAIL WILL CROSS HERE AND GO NORTH TO
THE HURSTVILLE INTERPRETIVE CENTER.



THE NEW SAVANNA-SABULA BRIDGE OVER THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER OPENS
TOMORROW AFTER A 1 P.M. RIBBON CUTTING.    PHOTOS TOMORROW.



KUHLMAN MOTORS IS CLOSING IN DECEMBER.   THE BUSINESS WAS STARTED BY RANDY AND VICKIE KUHLMAN IN 2009.    THE INVENTORY  HAS BEEN SOLD TO FINNIN FORD IN DUBUQUE.     THE KUHLMAN'S DID NOT SELL THE BUILDING OR LAND.
