FRIDAY HOMECOMING DAILY



KING NETH AND QUEEN DOSTAL LEADING THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL
HOMECOMING PARADE THIS AFTERNOON.    IT BEGAN AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL AND WENT NORTH UNTIL ENDING UP AT MAIN AND QUARRY
IN FRONT OF THE POST OFFICE.       IT WAS PRECEDED BY A PEP RALLY
AT THE HIGH SCHOOL.    KIDS FROM BRIGGS AND CARDINAL ELEMENTARY
SCHOOLS LINED THE STREET ON THE  SIDEWALK OR SAT ON THE CURB.  WINDY AND HOT FOR A  SEPTEMBER PARADE ON THIS FIRST DAY
OF FALL.

TWO MAQUOKETA FIRE TRUCKS BROUGHT UP THE REAR OF THE PARADE.
WHAT'S A PARADE WITHOUT A FIRE TRUCK?    KIDS LOVE THEM.
MAQUOKETA TAKES ON MARION AT 7:30 TONIGHT AND MATT CLARK
