FRIDAY DAILY

LAST NIGHT WAS "APPRECIATION NIGHT" FOR THE MAQUOKETA STATE BANK, WITH OFFICES IN MAQUOKETA, PRESTON AND ANDREW AND THE
DRIVE-UP  BANK ON MAQUOKETA'S WEST SIDE.    HUNDREDS OF ADULTS
AND KIDS STARTED COMING AT 6  AND SOME DID NOT GO HOME UNTIL AFTER 11, AFTER THE MOVIE.     THE WEATHER WAS VERY NICE.
 NOTE THE BUMPER STICKED!
THE FACE PAINTING TENT WAS BUSY.    SO WAS
THE 61 DRIVE-IN TRAIN WITH ENGINER CASEY
CASEL AND SEVERAL BANK EMPLOYEES AS
CONDUCTORS.

THE SWINGS WERE BUSY AND THE SANDBOX TO RIGHT, ALSO.

THESE M-S-B CUSTOMERS RELAXED AFTER ENJOYING A FREE SANDWICH
OR TWO, COURTESY OF THE BANK.    THE JACKSON COUNTY CATTLEMEN
DID HAMBURGERS ON THEIR BIG GRILL AND THE JACKSON COUNTY PORKP
PRODUCERS PREPARED THE PORK RIBLET SANDWICHES.    THE SANDWICHES WERE SERVED UNDER A BIG WHITE TENT AND THERE
WAS A DRINK TO GO WITH THEM.
AND THERE WAS A LINE-UP ALWAYS AT THE CONCESSION STAND, WAITING
TO GET IN FOR FREE POPCORN, COURTESY OF MAQUOKETA STATE
BANKS.
IT WAS A FUN NIGHT.   ONE PROBLEM, WAS THE PROJECTOR.   IT DID
NOT WANT TO SHOW THE MOVIE.    IT WAS MISSING THE RIGHT KEY.
THE PROJECTOR KEY, LIKE A PASSWORD ON A COMPUTER, ALLOWS THE
MOVIE TO BE SHOW,   MANAGER JACK JONES  HAD TO CALL AN EMERGENY NUMBER TO GET IT AND CONSEQUENTLY THE MOVIE STARTED NEARLY AN HOUR LATE.
THOSE WHO COULD NOT WAIT, WERE GIVEN A PASS FOR A DIFFERENT
MOVIE SOMETIME THIS SUMMER.

A BIG THANK YOU TO CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER KEVIN BURNS AND MANY OF HIS EMPLOYEES FOR SPONSORING THE EVENT.
