OVER THE PAST WEEKEND, A GOOD TURN OUT FOR THE DAIRY BANQUET
AT THE FAIRGROUNDS IN MAQUOKETA SATURDAY NIGHT.   THE NEW
DAIRN PRINCESS IS HALEY BURKEN DAUGHTER OF MARTY BURKEN
AND LISA BURKEN.    THE COUNTRY TRADITION BAND SUPPLIED THE
MUSIC FOR LISTENING AND DANCING.

AND A BIG CROWD SATURDAY FOR THE KEITH BURNS BENEFIT AT BEN SCHUELLER AUCTION BUILDING IN MAQUOKETA.

THIS WEEKEND IN MAQUOKETA...CITY WIDE GARAGES SALES.
SOME START THURSDAY, MANY FRIDAY AND ALL SATURDAY.

A TELEPHONE CABLE WAS SEVERED AT 11 THIS MORNING WHILE CONSTRUCTION WORK WAS BEING DONE IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA.  KMAQ PHONE SERVICE AND OTHERS IN AREA  OUT.      AND OUR PROGRAM LINES FOR KMAQ TO THE TRANSMITTER NORTHEAST OF TOWN, SO KMAQ WAS OFF THE AIR..UNTIL LINES REPAIRED AT 12:35.
THE JUNGLE BOOK  STARTS FRIDAY AT THE VOY THEATRE.
IT ALSO WILL BE  THE  FIRST FEATURE AT THE 61 DRIVE-IN THEATRE WHICH OPENS FOR THE SEASON THIS FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
THE SECOND FEATURE WILL ALSO BE A DISNEY MOVIE, ZOOTOPIA, ALSO
RATED PG.

MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN ENDS THIS THURSDAY NIGHT AT THE VOY
THEATRE.
