TUESDAY DAILY REPORT

WEATHER WAS FINE AGAIN TODAY.

THE JACKSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS APPROVED THE FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017 COUNTY BUDGET TODAY.   THE RATES (URBAN AND RURAL) ARE SAME AS LAST YEAR.  
ELECTED EMPLOYEES WERE GIVE A RAISE ALSO TODAY.    THE SHERIFF
AND COUNTY ATTORNEY GOT A 3.5 PERCENT INCREASE AND THE OTHER
SIX ELECTED OFFICIALS, INCLUDING THE SUPERVISORS, GOT A 3 PERCENT RAISE.

MAQUOKETA'S DOWNTOWN GREEN SPACE WILL BE THE SITE FOR A SUMMER
CONCERT SERIES.    THE SERIES WILL START ON SUNDAY, MAY 8TH, MOTHER'S DAY, AND WILL THERE WILL BE A CONCERT EVERY SECOND SUNDAY OF THE MONTH THROUGH SEPTEMBER.   DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUSIC WILL BE FEATURED.

JAYSON HOSCH ROLLED ANOTHER 300 LAST NIGHT AT TIMBER LANES.

HIS SERIES WAS WAY OVER 700 TOO.

  1. Glad those taxpayers will be socked with higher taxes to pay for the 3 & 3.5% raise increase to those that dont need it! (it shows)!! how fair is it that someone making a third or less of these peoples' wages paying taxes to support those wages, while they dont give a hoot and live with themselves without a care that people making less are barely scraping by, what heroes! Ill be putting my house up forsale and getting out of this slum hole that is dead. People sure like to bitch about ppl getting state aid and such well these people are in the same boat da think about it! living off the tax payer............
