FRIDAY DAILY REPORT

COOL, CLOUDY AND A FEW SPRINKLES TODAY,  IN LOW 70'S.
SUNNY AND WARMER TOMORROW.

NOTHING NEW ON EXPLOSION TODAY.    VICTIM FUNERAL SERVICES ARE PENDING AT CARSON CELEBRATION OF LIFE IN MAQUOKETA.

THE MAQUOKETA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT IS HAVING A BLOOD
DRIVE AT THE FIRE STATION FROM 6:30 TO 10:30 TOMORROW MORNING.
WE HAVE A LOT OF BLOOD DRIVES IN THE KMAQ, BUT NEVER TOO
MANY.

BEAU BOWMAN HAS JOINED THE DEWITT OBSERVER STAFF.   THE 2015 MCHS GRADUATE (SON OF SEN. TOD AND RENEE') WILL BE THEIR SUMMER
INTERN AND WILL ATTEND THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA THIS FALL.

2013 MCHS GRAD TY THEDE (SON OF TROY AND RAEANN OF MAQUOKETA)
HAS BEEN ACCEPTED TO THE U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY IN COLORADO SPRINGS.   HE LEAVES THE AIR FORCE TO BECOME A STUDENT.  
THOUSANDS APPLY AND HE WAS ONE OF 1,190 TO MAKE IT.   HE PLANS TO BECOME A PILOT.    HE'S A VERY GOOD GOLFER TOO.    WHO KNOWS, HE
MAY MAKE THE COLLEGE TEAM.

BASEBALL LAST NIGHT, MARION DEFEATED MAQUOKETA 2 TO 1 AND 5 TO 0.
SOFTBALL LAST NIGHT, MT. VERNON DEFEATED MAQUOKETA 2 TO 1 AND 16 TO 13.

LIKE TO GO INTO BUSINESS IN MAQUOKETA?   THE DECKER HOTEL IS
FOR SALE AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE.    EMAIL ME AND I COULD
GET YOU SOME INFORMATION.    THE DECKER IS KMAQ'S NEIGHBOR
ACROSS THE STREET.   

MOTOR MADNESS TOMORROW AND SUNDAY IN MAQUOKETA, AT THE
FAIRGROUNDS.   CARS STARTED ARRIVING TODAY.
LUNCH ON THE DAIRY FARM SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE MOORE FARM
NORTH OF MAQUOKETA.
