MONDAY DAILY REPORT

AT THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS SATURDAY  NIGHT, THE
JACKSON-CLINTON DAIRY ASSOCIATION 27TH ANNUAL BANQUET WAS
HELD AND HANNAH BURKEN OF  CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL, A JUNIOR,
WAS CROWNED THE 2015 DAIRY PRINCESS.
HALIE GRUENWALD, MIDLAND  HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR, WAS NAMED
DAIRY PRINCESS ALTERNATE.    DOMINIC HOLDGRAFER, BELLEVUE  HIGH
SCHOOL JUNIOR, WAS CHOSEN DAIRY AMBASSADOR AND TUCKER MOORE WAS NAMED LITTLE SIR DAIRYMAN.     NAMED LITTLE MISS DAIRY MAID , KALLI
BARBER.  

KENNETH DOTY, AGE 42, DIED MARCH 22ND AT A PEORIA HOSPITAL.
THE SERVICE WILL BE AT 11 SATURDAY MORNING AT THE FIRST BAPTIST
CHURCH IN MAQUOKETA.   HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS MOTHER MARTHA RINIKER
OF MAQUOKETA, BROTHER DANIEL RINIKER OF MAQUOKETA AND SISTER
DENISE BUNYON OF MAQUOKETA, ALSO 5 CHILDREN.

NEW HEAD MCHS BASKETBALL COACH DERRICK ROBERTS, WAS INTRODUCED TO THE PUBLIC SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT THE HIGH SCHOOL.   HE'S A CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE AND UNIVERSITY OF IOWA GRADUATE AND HAS BEEN A  SOPHOMORE COACH FOR TWO DISTRICTS.    THIS WILL BE HIS FIRST VARSITY COACHING  POSITION.    HE WILL USE A MAN-TO-MAN DEFENSE AND BRIAN AUNAN WILL BE BACK TO BE AN ASSISTANT COACH.  

THIS IS THE CORRECT ARTIST DESIGN OF THE PROPOSED SAVANNA-SABULA BRIDGE.   THE ONE I HAD UP HERE LAST WEEK WAS AN APPROACH BRIDGE
THAT WILL GO AHEAD OF THE MAIN BRIDGE ON THE IOWA SIDE.   SHOWN ABOVE, IT IS A TIED-ARCH STYLE.      ONE LIKE IT WAS RECENTLY INSTALLED AT HASTINGS, MINNESOTA.   $62 MILLION DOLLARS FOR ENTIRE PROJECT, WITH COMPLETION DAY IN THE FALL OF 2018.     WILL HAVE LOTS OF UPDATES ON IT HERE,  BETWEEN NOW AND THEN.
