FRIDAY DAILY REPORT

WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GET UP TO 80 TODAY.
BUT...BEST WE COULD DO WAS IN THE MID 60'S.
SINCE LAST NIGHT AND THROUGH EARLY THIS MORNING, WE GOT
A HALF-INCH OF RAIN.   THEN AROUND, NOON, A REAL DOWNPOUR.
SO, WE ARE CLOSE TO AN INCH.
MORE POSSIBLE TONIGHT AND TOMORROW AND  COOL (UPPER 50'S)
ON SUNDAY.   BUT NEXT WEEK, LOOKING GOOD AGAIN.

MORE "SCAMS" ON THE TELEPHONE HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN THE
AREA.    PEOPLE ARE BEING WARNED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT NOT
TO GIVE INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, BUT TO JUST "HANG UP".

A CONTRACTOR FOR THE CITY OF MAQUOKETA WILL BE STARTING
SOON TO REPLACE WATER METERS THROUGHOUT THE CITY.   THE NEW METERS WILL ALLOW AUTOMATED READINGS RATHER THAN A PERSON
WALKING THROUGH YARDS TO READ METERS.    RESIDENTS ARE
REQUIRED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.   INSTALLERS WILL NEED TO GET
INSIDE THE HOUSE AND THE INSTALLATION MAY TAKE UP TO 20 MINUTES.

ON THE POLICE BLOTTER, EBERHART FARM CENTER ON EAST MAPLE
STREET REPORTED SOMEONE STOLE SOME ANHYDROUS AMMONIA
FROM THE COMPANY.

THE NEW KWIK STAR HAS BEEN BUSY.   I  STOPPED IN FOR MILK
LAST NIGHT AND IT IS VERY NICE.

MAQUOKETA AT MANCHESTER TONIGHT FOR FOOTBALL.
THE PLAY-BY-PLAY WILL BE HERE ON THE KMAQ HOME PAGE
AT  7:20 TONIGHT.
I WILL PUT THE SCORE UP HERE TOMORROW MORNING.

 HAVE A NICE WEEKEND.
