YES, THE BUSCH STADIUM PHOTO WAS TAKEN BY ME WEDNESDAY MORNING AT THE FAMOUS ST. LOUIS ARCH....OVER 600 FEET UP IN THE AIR.   BOTH OF
US DID THE RIDE-UP OVER 25 YEARS AGO, SO IT WAS LIKE A NEW
EXPERIENCE.    AND IT WAS FUN.    ASHLEY WIGGINS, RICHARD E. STIMMEL
AND COLLEEN HERMAN EMAILED ME GIVING THE ANSWER TO MY
QUESTION WITH THE PHOTO BELOW.   IT COST $10 TO TAKE THE RIDE, WHICH
TAKES ABOUT A HALF-HOUR FROM START TO FINISH.    THERE ARE 16 CARS THAT MAKE THE TRIP TOGETHER AND EACH HOLDS 5 PEOPLE.
UNDER THE ARCH IS ALSO LOTS OF FREE THINGS TO DO, INCLUDING VISITING A VERY LARGE GATEWAY TO THE MIDWEST MUSEUM.   A GREAT
PLACE TO SPEND AN HOUR OR TWO WHEN VISITING ST. LOUIS.   WE
WERE THERE  FOR THE CARDINAL RADIO NETWORK PARTY THAT INCLUDED
SEEING TWO GAMES.    WE STAYED AT THE HYATT REGENCY AND HAD
A FUN TIME, WITH ALMOST PERFECT WEATHER.   SAW THE CARDS WIN
WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND LOOSE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.

NICE DAY TODAY....HIGH OF 76.    SHOULD BE NICE ALSO TOMORROW AND

A LARGE  GRASS FIRE THIS AFTERNOON NEAR HIGHWAY 61 ABOUT 5 MILES
NORTH OF MAQUOKETA ON 110TH STREET.    FOUR FIRE DEPARTMENTS WERE CALLED TO FIGHT THE FIRE.    MAQUOKETA, ANDREW, LAMOTTE AND SPRINGBROOK FIREMEN WERE ON THE SCENE ALL AFTERNOON.
WATER WAS HAULED FROM MAQUOKETA.    THE MAQUOKETA AMBULANCE
WAS CALLED TO BE ON HAND IN CASE FIREMEN HAD PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF THE HEAT FROM THE FIRE AND THE HOT WEATHER.

THE JACKSON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY SHELTER  JUST NORTHEAST
OF MAQUOKETA RECEIVED 26 DOGS FROM DADE COUNTY FLORIDA
YESTERDAY.    THEY  ARE STRAY DOGS FROM HURRICANE SANDY.
THERE ARE MANY TO NOW BE ADOPTED...BOTH MALE AND FEMALE.
THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT BREEDS AND ALL ARE UP-TO-DATE ON THEIR SHOTS.
