THE JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISORS ARE SEEKING NEW BIDS TO
RENOVATE THE PENROSE HOME JUST WEST OF THE LAW CENTER.
NOW THEY ONLY WANT TO RENOVATE THE EXISTING HOME.
LAST MONTH, THE SUPERVISORS DECIDED TO REJECT ALL THE BIDS
FOR THE HOME RENOVATION AND AN ADDITION TO IT, BECAUSE THE
BIDS CAME IN TOO HIGH.    WHEN COMPLETED, THE BUILDING WILL BE
USED FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND CASE MANAGEMENT OFFICES.
THE BIDS THEY ARE SEEKING NOW ARE FOR ENGINEERING WORK AND
THEY HOPE TO HAVE THOSE BACK IN TWO OR THREE WEEKS.

THERE WILL BE A  MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARD MEETING STARTING
AT 6 TONIGHT AT THE DISTRICT OFFICE.
ONE ITEM ON THE AGENDA:   THEY PLAN TONIGHT TO  HIRE A VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL COACH.
