THE DECKER HOTEL AND RESTAURANT IS HAVING AN OPEN HOUSE
UNTIL 8 TONIGHT.      FREE REFRESHMENTS AND WINE TASTING.
EVERYONE WELCOME.    TOUR THE BASEMENT BAR WHICH HAS A NEW
FLOOR AND HAS BEEN  REDECORATED.     TOUR THE KITCHEN WITH ALL
NEW APPLIANCES AND MEET ONE OF THE TWO NEW COOKS.    TOUR
THE DINING ROOM WITH IMPROVEMENTS AND TOUR SOME OF THE ROOMS ON THE SECOND AND THIRD FLOOR.  THERE ARE 17 ROOMS.
THE HOTEL OPENS FULLTIME TOMORROW.    LUNCH AND DINNER.
RESERVATIONS ARE BEING TAKEN FOR EASTER BRUNCH.     THE NEW
OWNERS ARE BROTHERS CHRIS AND MIKE QUILTY.

THE MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARD HAS ASKED ADMINISTRATORS TO CUT ABOUT $400,000 FROM NEXT YEAR'S BUDGET BECAUSE OF A DECLINE
IN ENROLLMENT.    THIS YEAR'S ENROLLMENT IS DOWN 31 STUDENTS FROM
LAST YEAR.   IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS, A DECLINE OF 118 STUDENTS.
ALSO, THERE ARE 119 PARENTS WHO ARE OPEN ENROLLING THEIR CHILDREN OUT OF THE DISTRICT BUT ONLY 77 STUDENTS ARE OPEN ENROLLED IN THE MAQUOKETA DISTRICT.

THE COMMUNITY GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE IS AT NOON TOMORROW AT THE
FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH IN MAQUOKETA.
