MOSTLY CLOUDY AND 23 AGAIN TODAY.
SNOW IS TO START AROUND 8 TONIGHT AND WE ARE TO EXPECT AROUND 5 INCHES OVERNIGHT AND SNOW SHOWERS AND ANOTHER INCH TOMORROW.

MAQUOKETA POLICE INVESTIGATED TWO MINOR ACCIDENTS.

YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, GERALD BEAU, 62, OF MAQUOKETA, BACKED HIS VEHICLE OUT OF A PRIVATE DRIVE AND HIT A VEHICLE DRIVEN BY SHEILA URWIN, 43, OF MAQUOKETA.   BEAU WAS CHARGED.    $900 DAMAGE
TO THE BEAU 2005 TOYOTA AND $3,800 TO THE URWIN 2003 BUICK.
AND
MONDAY NIGHT AROUND 8, MELISSA DOSTAL, 54, WAS GOING WEST ON SUMMIT AND LOST CONTROL ON THE ICE AND HIT A VEHICLE DRIVEN
BY DANIEL RINIKER, 32, OF BERNARD.   $4,000 DAMAGES TO RINIKER'S
2003 FORD MUSTANG AND $1,000 TO DOSTAL'S 2004 FORD.
NO INJURIES IN EITHER ACCIDENT.

THE CITY COUNCIL AND  SCHOOL BOARD DISCUSSION CONTINUES
ON THE SALE OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT.
