TWO MAQUOKETANS IN A TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT YESTERDAY AFTENROON ON HIGHWAY 61 NORTH, WHERE THE BELLEVE-CASCADE ROAD CROSSES.
MICHAEL STENDER, AGE 44, WAS CROSSING HIGHWAY 61 AND DID NOT
SEE A VEHICLE DRIVEN BY JANE KUTSCH, AGE 56 AND HIT THE PASSENGER
SIDE.   STENDER'S  VEHICLE ENDED UP IN THE ROAD, BLOCKING ONE LANE.
$500 DAMAGE TO STENDER'S SEMI AND $7,000 DAMAGE TO KUTCH'S 2005 PONTIAC.   NO INJURIES.    STENDER WAS CHARGED.

AREA FARMER BRAD STEVENSON WAS SELECTED A WINNER IN TEH AMERICA'S FARMERS GROW COMMITTEE SPONSORED BY THE MONSANTO
FUND.    HE IS DONATING HIS $2,500 TO THE MAQUOKETA COMMUNITY CUPBOARD.    AND AN ADDITIONAL $2,500 WILL BE DONATED TO THE CUPBOARD BY THE  USDA BECAUSE JACKSON COUNTY HAS BEEN
DECLARED A DISASTER AREA BY THE USDA.
