THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WEATHER MEN WERE WRONG.    NO SNOW LAST NIGHT.    JUST LIGHT SNOW TODAY.    NO 2 INCHES AS PREDICTED.    HIGH AGAIN TODAY IN THE MID 20'S.   NO MORE  SNOW NOW THROUGH THE NEW YEAR HOLIDAY.

THE MAQUOKETA WRESTLING CLUB IS HOSTING A TOURNAMENT AT THE HIGH SCHOOL IN MAQUOKETA TOMORROW FOR AROUND 300  WRESTLERS
IN GRADES 1-8.    ACTION STARTS AT 9 A.M.    SPECTATORS ARE WELCOME AND A CONCESSION STAND WILL BE OPEN.

THE JACKSON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS THIS WEEK GOT AN
UPDATE FROM DAC, INC. ON THE ANDREW JACKSON CARE FACILITY THAT DAC IS RENTING FROM THE COUNTY.   THERE ARE NOW 10 RESIDENTS
AT THE FACILITY AND UP TO 10 MORE ARE SCHEDULED TO MOVE IN SOON.

THE MAQUOKETA CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER WAS SERVED TO 250,
INCLUDING CARRY-OUTS.   THE EAGLES AND THE EAST IRON HILL
CHURCH JOINTLY SPONSORED THE FREE COMMUNITY DINNER.

BENJAMIN DIMMICK, 85, OF CAMANCHE DIED TUESDAY.   HIS FUNERAL IS TOMORROW MORNING.   SURVIVORS INCLUDE A SON, PAUL DIMMICK
OF MAQUOKETA.
