WE GOT 4/10 ON AN INCH OF RAIN LAST NIGHT, AND A GOOD SHOWER
AROUND 9:30 THIS MORNING. SINCE THEN, HOT AND HUMID TODAY,
WITH HIGH OF 85. MORE RAIN TOMORROW AND FRIDAY, BUT
SHOULD BE GOOD WEATHER SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, BUT STILL HOT.
MONDAY, LOOK FOR A HIGH OF 90.

THE PARADE TONIGHT AT 6 P.M. WILL BE ON OUR WEB SITE, USING
OUR WEB CAM, POINTED AS THE PARADE COMES NORTHERLY.
IT SHOULD MATCH UP WITH THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PARADE BY
LEIGHTON AND ME. WWW.KMAQ.COM AND CLICK-ON THE LISTEN
BUTTON AT LEFT.

A BIG FIRE NEAR DOWNTOWN LAST NIGHT, AT 310 SOUTH MAIN. IT WAS
AN OLD BARN, CONVERTED TO A GARAGE, BEHIND THE HOME, THAT CAUGHT ON FIRE AND WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED. JUST THE SHELL STANDS
TODAY. IT BROKE OUT AT 8 LAST NIGHT AND FIREMEN WERE AT THE
SCENE FOR 2 HOURS. IT WAS HOT AND MUGGY AND THAT MADE FOR DIFFICULT CONDITIONS FOR FIREMEN. THE TWO STORY BUILDING WAS OWNED BY RADD GERRISCHER AND HE SAID IT WAS BUILDT IN 1909. PROBABLY
A HORSE BARN THEN. RADD HAD LOTS OF THINGS STORED IN IT AND
ALL WERE LOST. A CAR AND BOAT IN THE DRIVE-WAY WAS SAVED.
THE CAUSE OF FIRE IS NOT KNOWN AND NO DAMAGE ESTIMATE
WAS GIVEN. NO ONE WAS INJURED.

AFTER THE PARADE, LOTS OF ACTIVITIES TONIGHT AT THE FAIR.
TOMORROW, KMAQ WILL HAVE 25-MINUTE REPORTS EACH HOUR FROM
THE FAIR, IN THE AFTERNOON AND IN THE EVENING UNTIL 8:30.
SAME ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.

KEEP TUNED TO KMAQ-FM OR OUR INTERNET SITE TO KEEP INFORMED.

HAVE A GOOD NIGHT...AND GOOD THURSDAY.

DENNIS VOY
