THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR 2010 IS 7 MONTHS AWAY.   TODAY, IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE BIG SHOW FOR SATURDAY NIGHT THIS YEAR WILL FEATURE
A ROCK BAND POPULAR SINCE THE '80'S...."38 SPECIAL"    AND THIS YEAR,THERE WILL BE NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE GRANDSTAND SHOW.    ALSO THIS
YEAR, ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AFTER THE PARADE, FAMOUS COMEDIAN AND MAGICIAN WILL ENTERTAIN.       BEFORE THE FAIR,  THE BOARD IS PLANNING TO
UPGRADE SOME REST ROOMS TO MAKE THEM  HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE, BUY A NEW
HIGHWAY SIGN AND UPGRADE THE BEER SHACK AT THE EAST END OF THE GRANDSTAND.

HAPPY 95TH BIRTHDAY TODAY TO JOHN JONES, FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA,
NOW LIVING IN PELLA WHERE HIS  DAUGHTER LIVES.   HE LIVES IN A CARE FACILITY.  HIS SON IS JACK JONES, MANAGER OF MY THEATRES SINCE 1975.   STILL SHARP AS EVER AND ENJOYS EMAILING FRIENDS.     WORKED FOR CLINTON ENGINES
AND THEN BECAME A GOOD LUTHERAN INSURANCE AGENT.    COME TO THINK ABOUT IT...I DON'T KNOW A BAD LUTHERAN.

 DOUBLE DUEL WRESTLING MEET IN MAQUOKETA TONIGHT.   I'LL  HAVE RESULTS
TOMORROW.
