RAIN TODAY....1 AND 6/10 INCHES. HAS STOPPED, BUT MORE IN FORECAST
TONIGHT AND THEN HOT SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, AROUND 90 OR ABOVE BOTH
DAYS.

VANDALISM WAS REPORTED IN THE NEW CEMENT POURED ON NORTH MAIN STREET.
SOMEONE WROTE NAMES IN THE CONCRETE.
AND ALSO ON POLICE BLOTTER, OWEN HAYES REPORTED FRONT AND REAR
WINDSHIELDS ON HIS VEHICLE WERE BROKEN WHILE PARKED AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.
AND SIDE WINDOWS ON A BUS OWNED BY BOB WAGNER WERE ALSO BROKEN.

THE SECOND ANNUAL MAQUOKETA CAVES STATE PARK APPRECIATION DAY
IS TOMORROW. THERE WILL BE NATIVE AMERICAN DANCE DEMONSTRATIONS, GUIDED TOURS, MUSIC, COOKING DEMOS, PRIZES AND FREE POPCORN AND
LEMONADE.
AND...THE JACKON COUNTY CONSERVATION BOARD IS HOSTING THE ANNUAL YOUTH OUTDOOR SKILLS DAY TOMORROW AT THE HURSTVILLE FISHING
POND. $7 FOR KIDS AND ADULTS FREE.'

GILLIAN MORRISON, DAUGHTER OF ADDIE WALLACE MORRISON, HAS MEDALED IN THE AAU JR. OLYMPICS HELD THIS WEEK AT DRAKE UNIVERSITY. SHE IS 11 YEARS OLD. SHE PLACED 6TH OUT OF 30 IN THE MIDGET GIRLS PENTATHALON. SHE IS A MEMBER OF A TRACK CLUB OUT OF CORAL SPRINGS, FLORIDA.
