LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON, A THUNDER AND LIGHTNING STORE PASSED OVER
THE KMAQ AREA, RESULTING IN 3/10 OF AN INCH OF RAIN. AT 8 O'CLOCK,
WE WENT TO BLUFF LAKE CATFISH FARM, MAQUOKETA'S MOST POPULAR
RESTAURANT. CLICK-ON PHOTO TO ENLARGE. SATURDAY NIGHT ESPECIALLY,
ITS A BUSY, BUSY NIGHT AT BLUFF LAKE, EVEN ON A STORMY NIGHT.
TODAY WAS TIMBER CITY DAY WITH OVER 80 ENTRIES FOR THE ADVENTURE RACE THIS MORNING (GOOD TURNOUT) AND THIS AFTERNOON, 3 HOURS OF THE POPULAR GARDEN TRACTOR PULL, BY THE JACKSON COUNTY GARDEN TRACTOR CLUB AND
THEIR POPULAR EMCEE BEAR SIEVERDING. LOTS OF KIDS FUN TODAY ALSO
AND TONIGHT, THE DANCE IS GOING ON NOW IN THE DOWNTOWN PARKING LOT.
A SUCCESSFUL EVENT SPONSORED BY THE MAQUOKETA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
COMES TO AN END AT MIDNIGHT. THE RACE BY THE THE WAY WAS WON BY
LARRY SULLIVAN OF CLINTON, WHO HAD THE WINNING BEST TIME OF THE DAY
OF TWO HOURS, AND TWENTY-FOUR MINUTES.
