NICE WARM SUNNY DAY IN THE 80'S, BUT BREEZY. RAIN AND COOLER WEATHER
FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

A MAQUOKETA WOMAN WAS FOUND IN A FIELD EARLY THIS MORNING IN RURAL MAQUOKETA WHERE SHE HAD APPARENTLY BEEN ALL NIGHT. SHE WAS FOUND NEAR MAYBERRY CORNERS....175TH STREET AND HIGHWAY 61. THE AMBULANCE CREW HAD TO GO THROUGH THREE FENCES TO WHERE CASSIE RONEK, AGE 26, WAS FOUND, INCOHERENT. SHE WAS TAKEN TO THE MAQUOKETA HOSPITAL AND HER CONDITION IS NOT LIFE THREATENING. NO INFORMATION ON WHAT HAPPENED AND THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.

TRISHA MILLER, MAQUOKETA, TOOK 14TH IN THE GIRL'S 3000 METER RUN YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AT THE DRAKE RELAYS. THE REST OF THE TRACK TEAM WAS IN A MEET AT MANCHESTER LAST NIGHT AND PLACEED 8TH IN THE 14 TEAM FIELD. LAURA OSTERHAUS WON THE HIGH JUMP. AND, SOPHIE SEYFERT THE LONG JUMP.
