WE HAVE HAD SOME GOOD SUNSHINE TODAY, WITH A HIGH AROUND 30.
FOUR TO SIX INCHES OF SNOW FORECAST FOR TONIGHT. BUT...SEE WHERE
THEY ALSO SAY WE WILL BE AROUND 40 DEGREES NEXT TUEDAY, SO THE SNOW WON'T STAY LONG.

THE MAQUOKETA WRESTLERS ARE ALL DONE AT THE STATE TOURNAMENT.
TODAY, IN SECOND ROUND CONSOLATION, TIM O'CONNELL LOST HIS MATCH, 4 TO 2 AND FINISHES THE SEASON AT 30 AND 8 AND WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR.

NICE SHOW BY CARDINALS AT THE STATE TOURNAMENT. ALL MATCHES LOST
COULD JUST AS WELL HAVE BEEN WINS...THEY WERE ALL CLOSE. BE SURE AND
THANK DR. KOOB FOR DOING THE BROADCASTS FOR KMAQ AGAIN THIS YEAR. YES, WE PAY HIM A LITTLE.. BUT HE DOESN'T DO IT FOR THE MONEY.....HE LIKES HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING AND BACKING EASTERN IOWA GRAPPLERS.
TWO WRESTLERS, BRIAN HOFFMAN OF NORTHEAST AND CASEY KREITER OF DEWITT,
WILL WRESTLE AGAIN TONIGHT AND HAVE A CHANCE FOR A MEDAL. PAUL KOOB

THE PINK PANTHER 2 AND NEW IN TOWN BOTH START TONIGHT AT THE VOY 3 THEATRE. AND MALL COP STAYS ON FOR STILL ANOTHER WEEK.

NO NEWS TODAY FOR THIS, THE FRIDAY REPORT. MOST MIDDAY NEWS TODAY WAS COUNTY OR AREA NEWS. AS YOU KNOW, I NO LONGER PUT LAHEY FUNERAL HOME OR CARSON FUNERAL HOME OBITUARIES HERE, AS THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE INTERESTED CAN CHECK THE CARSON AND LAHEY WEB SITES ANYTIME, AND OFTEN AS YOU LIKE, TO FIND OUT WHO HAS DIED IN MAQUOKETA.

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND.

CHECK THE FOUR NEW PHOTOS BELOW THIS REPORT.
