59 FOR A HIGH TODAY UNDER CLOUDY SKIES. SUNNY AND NEAR 70 TOMORROW. 1/10 OF AN INCH OF RAIN LAST NIGHT.

HOSPICE OF JACKSON COUNTY TOLD THE SUPERVISORS AT THEIR MEETING THIS MORNING AT THE COURTHOUSE THAT THEY WANT TO BUY BICENTENNIAL PARK, JUST NORTH OF THE HOSPITAL, FOR A SIX-BED FACILITY. SO, AN APPRAISAL WILL BE DONE. THE PARK HAS RIVER FRONTAGE, BUT IS NOT USED.
MAINLY, BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING IN IT. NO PICNIC TABLES, OR PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT. IT IS BASICALLY A WALKING OR MEDITATION PARK.

THE CAST HAS BEEN ANNOUNED FOR "A CHRISTMAS STORY", THAT WILL BE PRESENTED BY THE PEACE PIPE PLAYERS
IN LATE NOVEMBER AND EARLY DECEMBER. SHELLEY HOYE WILL DIRECT, ASSISTED BY LORI HOUSTON AND REBECCA KUTSCH. CAST MEMBERS INCLUDE: CHRIS RAKER, WILLIAM OTTEMAN, ROBYN LANE, ANDREW LONG, JACK ROLLING, BEAU BOWMAN, ZACH FISHWILD, QUENTIN YAROLEM, TAYLOR FISHWILD, SARAH TABOR, ERICA BARKER, PAUL HORST, BILL DAVISON, ED SZABO, KALLEIGH BURTON, ADALYN DOSTAL, BROKELYN KIPP, PETER LYON, SYDNEY STENDER, BROOKLYN WALLER, BRYLEE BLANCHARD, DARIUS CLARK, ZACHARY GAVIN, SARA KILBURG, KAITLYN LANE AND SIDNEY MICHEL.
SANDY HANSEN WILL BE STAGE MANAGER AND CURT GRUVER.
IT WILL BE PRESENTED IN THE 840 SEAT OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER, NOVEMBER 30 AND DECEMBER 1 AND 2.

A YEAR AGO, WE HAD SNOW IN MAQUOKETA OCTOBER 12TH.
