A MAQUOKETA WOMAN IS IN THE JACKSON COUNTY JAIL ON CHARGES OF STEALING A CAR, TAKING ITEMS FROM ANOTHER CAR, AND PUMPING GAS WITHOUT PAYING FOR IT. AMY CHASE, AGE 19, IS IN JAIL ON $9,750 CASH BOND.

ON THE POLICE BLOTTER: JAMES MARSHALL SAID SOMEONE KEYED HIS CAR AT 23 HARVARD STREET. GRETA SCHMIDT AT 211 1/2 EAST PLATT SAID THE BACK END OF HER CAR WAS SMASHED AND TODD CLARY OF 110 1/2 SOUTH MAIN SAID DVD'S WERE TAKEN FROM HIS RESIDENCE.

HAROLD "TOM" GEE, AGE 82, OF HOT SPRINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA AND FORMERLY OF THE MONMOUTH AND MAQUOKETA AREA, DIED LAST FRIDAY IN S.D. AND THE FUNERAL WAS WEDNESDAY. HE WORKED IN THE CHICAGO AREA FOR MANY YEARS AND SURVIVORS INCLUDE TWO NIECES, A NEPHEW AND MANY COUSINS.
