THE CAVES OPENED FRIDAY, WITH FAIR WEATHER. SATURDAY, BETTER WEATHER AND SUNDAY, REALLY NICE....SO THE ATTENDANCE WAS GOOD FOR THE
REOPENING OF THE CAVES. THE PICNIC TABLES WERE NEARLY ALL TAKEN
ACCORDING TO THE ABOVE AT PICNIC TABLE. I WAS THERE TO TAKE PHOTOS
LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON, SO MOST HAD LEFT FOR HOME. NOTE THE TREES
THAT WERE TAKEN DOWN FOR THE NEW ROAD THROUGH THE CAVES. AND I
NOTICED THE WELCOME BUILDING AT THE ENTRANCE ALSO HAD VISITORS. THEY
WERE GREETED BY VOLUNTEERS AND IF YOU HAVE NOT VISITED THIS BUILDING,
DO SO. INTERESTING VIDEO AND FACTS ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE CAVES.
I HAD TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THIS INTERESTING NEW HOME ON THE CAVES ROAD.
THE OWNERS ARE LIVING THERE, BUT I DO NOT KNOW THEIR NAME.
WE NOTICED AROUND 8 DEER ON THE CAVES ROAD. THIS ONE LET ME TAKE
HIS PICTURE.
NEARLY A FULL HOUSE FOR THE MOE BANDY SHOW SATURDAY NIGHT. GOOD
CONCERT. RICH HALL ANNOUNCED THAT SOMEONE HAS GIVEN THE AMOUNT
OF MONEY TO REACH $20,000 AND SO THE GARY DREWS WILL NOW GIVE THEIR
$50,000 PLEDGED EARLY THIS YEAR. THE OHNWARD ROOF IS PAID FOR. WE WILL LEARN LATER WHO GAVE THE MONEY TO REACH $20,000.
BUSY STOCK CAR RACES SATURDAY NIGHT TOO.
THE MUSIC IN THE GREEN SPACE EVENT HAD A LOW ATTENDANCE LAST NIGHT
FEATURING A DUBUQUE TRIO, BUT WEATHER WAS GOOD AND MUSIC WAS ALSO GOOD. SORRY MORE DIDN'T ATTEND THE FREE EVENT.
ALL IN ALL, A BUSY WEEKEND OF ENTERTAINMENT IN THE TIMBER CITY.
THE KMAQ STAFF GOT ONE MORE 60TH BIRTHDAY TREAT TODAY. THE PIZZA-
SIZE CHOCOLATE COOKIE, WITH A FEW HUNDRED (THOUSAND) CALORIES, WAS ENJOYED BY ALL AND GONE BY LATE AFTERNOON. THANKS TO JOYCE OSTER. THIS WAS THE SECOND FROM HER. TEN YEARS AGO, SHE ALSO BROUGHT US ONE ON OUR 50TH.
