RED WAS BORN SEPTEMBER 3RD 1920 AT FULTON, IOWA.
HIS FIRST CELEBRATION WAS BEING IN A DRIVE AROUND PARADE IN MAQUOKETA.
THAT PARADE STARTED AT THE MAQUOKETA VETERANS MEMORIAL, WHERE HE
WAS PRESENTED A FLAG THAT FLEW OVER THE CAPITOL IN DES MOINES.
I WILL HAVE MORE PHOTOS TODAY AND TOMORROW, SO CHECK BACK.
THIS AFTERNOON, KMAQ HAD A SPECIAL ONE-HOUR SHOW ABOUT HIS
LIFE. THE SEGMENTS FOR THE SHOW RECORDED WITH RED LAST WEEK HERE AT KMAQ. THE HOUR-LONG SHOW WILL BE REPEATED ON-THE-AIR AT 6 P.M. TONIGHT ON KMAQ. RED WILL SING A SONG ON THE SHOW AND A SONG WRITTEN ABOUT
