NOW..AT 5:30, IT IS SNOWING AND BLOWING IN MAQUOKETA.

TIME TO GET A HAIRCUT AND HEAD FOR HOME AND THERE, LISTEN TO THE MAQUOKETA-ANAMOSA BOYS TOURNAMENT BASKETBALL GAME FROM ANAMOSA. THE CARDINALS HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN...AND IF THEY DO, THEY WILL PROBABLY PLAY 4TH RATED DEWITT CENTRAL THURSDAY NIGHT.

BLACK ROCKWELL, MAQUOKETA SENIOR WRESTLER, ENDED UP WITH AN 8TH PLACE MEDAL AT THE STATE TOURNAMENT SATURDAY. I SAW HIM GET HIS MEDAL ON STATE-WIDE TV.

THE BELLEVUE MARQUETTE GIRLS EASILY WON THEIR TOURNAMENT GAME SATURDAY AGAINST A FORT MADISON TEAM AND WILL PLAY IN THE IOWA GIRLS STATE TOURNAMENT NEXT MONDAY. THEIR 3RD YEAR IN A ROW TO GO TO STATE. THE MARQUETTE BOYS ALSO ARE GOOD AGAIN THIS YEAR AND HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF GOING BACK TO STATE.

THE NORTHEAST GIRLS LOST FRIDAY NIGHT TO #1 RATED GRUNDY CENTER AND LOST THEIR BID TO GO TO THE GIRL'S STATE TOURNAMENT.

HAVE A GOOD WEEK.
