DINNER AT THE MAQUOKETA COUNTRY CLUB.
ENTERTAINMENT BY JOEL HAGEN AND MANY OF HIS HIGH SCHOOL CHORAL MEMBERS SINGING CHRISTMAS CAROLS. PRIZE DRAWING AFTER.

DOUG GONNER (LONGTIME MAQUOKETA FIREMAN) BROUGHT IN TODAY THIS
POST CARD. THE 3-STORY BUILDING AT FAR RIGHT WAS SUE'S HALLMARK
BUILDING LOST IN THE BIG FIRE 9 YEARS AGO. I THINK THE BUILDING BEHIND THE BIG POWER LINE POLE WITH FOUR CROSSBARS WAS LANE FURNITURE FOR A LONG TIME.
THE PASTIME THEATRE WAS NOT THERE YET. LOOKS LIKE THE BUILDINGS ON FIRE LATER BECAME NEW BUILDINGS WHERE IN THE 50'S AND 60'S, SPALDING'S FOOTWARE AND SAGER'S SHOE STORE AND BILL MOLER'S WERE LOCATED. NICE FIRE WAGON IN LOWER RIGHT CORNER. IF I AM WRONG ON ALL THIS, EMAIL ME AT kmaq@kmaq.com
IN JULY.
JOE IS A GRAMMY WINNER. MEMBER OF THE OKLAHOMA MUSIC HALL OFFAME. HAS BEEN A MEMBER OF THE GRAND OLE OPRY FOR 20 YEARS. HE HAS 13 ALBUMS AND HAS HAD 20 TOP-10 SONGS.
THE ABOVE WHITE PICK-UP HIT A STURDY POST AT THE
FRONT OF THE WAL MART STORE IN MAQUOKETA LAST
SUNDAY AFTERNOON. CAR TOTALED. PHOTO TAKEN
BY DEBRA GERARDY FROM INSIDE HER CAR.
