THE IKE'S FISH FRY WAS YESTERDAY AT THEIR CLUBHOUSE AT THE SOUTH EDGE OF MAQUOKETA, BEHIND HORSESHOE POND. THE WEATHER WAS NICE...THE FISH AND ALL THE EXTRAS (SWEET DESSERTS TOO) DELICIOUS, AND A GOOD CROWD. IT WAS A VERY BUSY DAY FOR THE MEMBERS AND
WE THANK THANK THEM AND SALUTE THEM FOR ALL THE GOOD THINGS THEY DO.
THE MAN IN BLACK ABOVE IS JIM GERARDY OF MAQUOKETA AND LAST NIGHT,
JIM AND HIS WIFE DEBRA (KMAQ SALES REP) DID A GREAT THING FOR
HOSPICE OF JACKSON COUNTY. THEY ORGANIZED A MUSIC EVENT WITH
LOCAL SINGERS TO BENEFIT HOSPICE AND IT WAS FROM 6 UNTIL 7:30 LAST NIGHT AT OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER IN MAQUOKETA. WE HAVE "ABOVE AND BEYOND" TALENT IN JACKSON COUNTY AND SO EVERYONE ENJOYED
THE SHOW. GOOD ATTENDANCE. GOOD SHOW. GOOD NEEDED FUNDS
FOR THE HOSPICE TREASURY. THANKS JIM AND DEB....THANKS ENTERTAINERS....THANKS TO AROUND 30 SPONSORS AND THANKS TO
ALL THAT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE FUN NIGHT IN JACKSON COUNTY.

THE NEW DAIRY AMBASSADOR IS CHARLIE COOK OF BELLEVUE, SON OF TROY AND LEEANN COOK AND ANN DENLINGER.
THE NEW LITTLE MISS DAIRY MAIDS ARE GABBY HINGTGEN, DAUGHTER OF
SCOTT AND JESSICA HINGTGEN AND MEGAN KREMER, DAUGHTER OF RODNEY AND CARRIE KREMER.
AND THE NEW LITTLE SIR DAIRY MAN IS CODY COOK, SON OF TROY AND
LEEANN COOK.
THE DAIRY ORGANIZATION PRESENTED A $500 SCHOLARSHIP TO SAMANTHA COSTELLO OF DEWITT, THE OUTGOING DAIRY PRINCESS, AND DAUGHTER OF FRANCIS AND JACQUE COSTELLO. SHE PLANS TO ATTEND THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA AND ALSO RECEIVING A $500 SCHOLARSHIP, THE OUTGOING
ALTERNATE DAIRY PRINCESS, MARISSA TILL, OF MAQUOKETA, DAUGHTER OF ALLAN AND KAREN TILL. SHE PLANS TO ATTEND IOWA STATE.
THE DAIRY D-H-I-A AWARDS WERE WERE ALSO A PART OF LAST NIGHT'S
AGENDA. THE TOP JACKSON COUNTY DAIRY HERD AWARD WENT TO
DWAIN AND DAVID KILBURG AND THE TOP CLINTON COUNTY HERD
AWARD TO BLANCHARD FAMILY.
THE JACKSON/CLINTON COUNTY DAIRY ASSOCIATION "THANK YOU"
CERTIFICATES FOR HELPING PROMOTE THE DAIRY INDUSTRY WENT
TO THE FAREWAY STORE IN MAQUOKETA AND BLUE-HILL FARM,OWNED
BY THE BURKEY FAMILY.
IN CLOSING LAST NIGHT, EMCEE RANDY FRANCK, THE ASSOCIATION TREASURER, INVITED EVERYONE TO THIS JUNE DAIRY MONTH'S "LUNCH ON THE FARM" ON JUNE 29TH AT THE SCOTT AND TRICIA HOLDGRAFER FARM HERE IN JACKSON COUNTY.
ENTERTAINMENT BY THE "COUNTRY TRADITION BAND" OF JACKSON COUNTY
FOLLOWED LAST NIGHT'S PROGRAM.
THE JACKSON/CLINTON COUNTY DAIRY BANQUET IS ALWAYS ONE OF THE
BEST EACH YEAR. ALWAYS GREAT FOOD (LAST NIGHT THE BEEF AND PORK
DINNER CATERED BY SPRINGBROOK COUNTRY DINING) AND MANY, YES MANY NICE DOOR PRIZES. AND THEN, EVERYONE RECIEVED A FREE
DAIRY PRODUCT WHEN LEAVING FOR HOME. I CHOOSE A PACKAGE OF CHEESE AND NANCY TOOK A POUND OF BUTTER.
