A CLINTON MAN WAS CHARGED WITH MAKING AND SELLING METH FROM A SMALL TRAILER BEHIND 323 S. PROSPECT IN MAQUOKETA AND A DUBUQUE
WOMAN WAS ALSO CHARGED IN THE DRUG RAID. MAQUOKETA POLICE RECEIVED A TIP THAT 2 PEOPLE WERE USING METH IN THE TRAILER OWNED BY MARY SCHULZ WHO GAVE PERMISSION TO SEARCH THE TRAILER.
IN THE RAID, THE POLICE FOUND ITEMS USED TO MAKE THE DRUG AND
SAID THEY TOTAL METH THEY FOUND WAS IN EXCESS OF 5 GRAMS.
THE JACKSON COUNTY CONFERENCE BOARD LAST NIGHT POSTPONED ACTION APPOINTING A NEW COUNTY ASSESSOR. SOME OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD WANT MORE INFORMATION ON WHY THE PERSON RECOMMENDED FOR THE POSITION WAS CHOSEN OVER THE OTHER TWO CANDIDATES. THE CONFERENCE BOARD IS MADE UP OF MAYOR, SUPERVISOR AND SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS. THE VOTE TO POSTPONE HIRING LEE KARABIN WAS 2 TO 1 FOR TABLING THE ISSUE WITH THE MAYORS VOTING AGAINST POSTPONING. THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE ON MONDAY, DEC. 15TH.

TONIGHT, THE BOY'S BASKETBALL TEAMS PLAY AT WILLIAMSBURG AND THE GIRLS HOST WILLIAMSBURG.
AND THE WRESTLERS WILL BE AT CASCADE, WRESTLING PLEASANT VALLEY AND CASCADE.
