AFTER A LENGTHY WORK SESSION THIS MORNING, THE JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISORS APPROVED HIRING COREY KETTMANN AS A NEW DEPUTY,
TO REPLACE LONGTIME DEPUTY ED CLARK WHO HAS RETIRED.
COREY KETTMAN IS SHERIFF KETTMANN'S SON AND THAT WAS THE ISSUE
DISCUSSED. AND SUPERVISOR LARRY KOOS COULD NOT VOTE BECAUSE
COREY IS HIS NEPHEW. COREY WAS AT THE TOP OF THE LIST FROM THE COUNTY CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION AND HAS 12 YEARS EXPERIENCE
IN LAW ENFORCEMENT. HE'S AN ARSON INVESTIGATOR AND SPEAKS FLUENT SPANISH. THE COUNTY ATTORNEY DETERMINED THE SUPERVISORS CAN MAKE THE DECISION TO HIRE THE SHERIFF'S SON
AND THE VOTE WAS 2 TO 0 TO HIRE HIM.
LAST NIGHT, THE CITY OF MAQUOKET HIRED A CEDAR RAPIDS LAW FIRM TO BE THE CITY ATTORNEY. THE VOTE WAS 5 YES, 1 NO AND 1 PASS.
IT WILL BE A ONE YEAR CONTRACT STARTING AUGUST 1ST. THE FIRM
WILL REPLACE THE LONGTIME CITY ATTORNEY, KEN WRIGHT. THE
OPENING WAS OUT FOR BIDS AND THE CITY COULD/MAY SAVE MONEY
COMPARED TO WHAT IS BEING PAID NOW.
IN HIGH SCHOOL BOY'S BASEBALL LAST NIGHT, MAQUOKETA WON BOTH GAMES OF A DOUBLE HEADER WITH WESTERN DUBUQUE, 9 TO 2 AND 6 TO 3.
THE CARDS ARE NOW 17 AND 12 AFTER LAST NIGHT'S GAMES HERE IN
TOWN.
THE CARDINAL GIRLS ALSO WON THEIR DOUBLE HEADER, OVER WESTERN DUBUQUE, 2 TO 0 AND 6 TO 5, WINNING THE SECOND GAME IN THE LAST INNING.

The action will begin having a Sunlight Belt Discussion matchup between Middle Tennessee Express with Wyoming Express with Mondy. Neither of them university incorporates a successful record, yet each usually are on its way away from their own most lopsided glory from the time. The starting bets line gets the route team used often by just one point. Tues. vis-à-vis Wed.
