IOWA, READ ABOUT "FLANDERS FIELD".
THE MEMORIAL DAY ADDRESS WAS GIVEN BY MAQUOKETA MAYOR DON SCHWENKER. HE WAS ON FULLTIME ACTIVE DUTY 8 YEARS AND IN THE THE
NATIONAL GUARD OVER 20 YEARS.

THE AVENUE OF FLAGS AT THE CEMETERIES WAS NOT PUT UP THIS YEAR
BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER.
BUT, THE MAQUOKETA OPTIMIST CLUB DID PUT UP OVER 450 FLAGS.
