AT ABOUT 4 A.M. THIS MORNING, WE HAD A BIG THUNDER-LIGHTNING STORM
AND TODAY, CLOUDY AND ON AND OFF RAIN.   THE LAST COUPLE DAYS, ABOUT AN INCH OF RAIN.   ONLY 45 TODAY AND ABOUT THE SAME FOR
TOMORROW WITH MORE RAIN.    NO SPRING WEATHER AT ALL THIS WEEK....
HOPEFULLY WE WILL GET SOME NEXT WEEK.

THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL GOLF TEAM PLAYED AT MACBRIDE COURSE
IN SOLON YESTERDAY AND DEFEATED SOLON, 160 TO 179.   MEDALIST WAS
TY THEDE OF MAQUOKETA WITH A TWO UNDER 34.    RUNNER UP MEDALIST
WAS BLAISE WALLER OF MAQUOKETA WITH A 40.    DAVISON BOHACH AND JORDAN ROCKWELL EACH HAD A 43 FOR THE CARDINALS.

THE MAQUOKETA CUB SCOUTS RECEIVED A HELPING HAND FROM ITS LOCAL SPONSOR, THE MAQUOKETA KIWANIS CLUB.  THE CLUB DONATED $330 TO THE SCOUTS FOR VARIOUS SCOUTING EVENTS TO ATTEND.     KIWANIS PRESIDENT JOSH REICKS PRESENTED THE DONATION TO MAQUOKETA CUB SCOUTS LEADER, GARY LAUGHLIN.

IN THE MEN'S NCAA TOURNAMENT, MICHIGAN LOST LAST NIGHT TO LOUISVILLE, COMING IN 2ND.    IOWA ALSO TOOK SECOND,  IN THE NIT TOURNAMENT.    DID YOU  REMEMBER THAT IOWA LOST TO MICHIGAN THE ONLY GAME THEY PLAYED EACH OTHER THIS PAST SEASON, ON JANUARY 6TH...95 TO 67.    THE BIG TEN IS GOOD, BUT THIS YEAR, JUST NOT GOOD
ENOUGH.

ROTARY DUCKS GO ON SALE TOMORROW FOR THE 12TH ANNUAL RACE.
AGAIN THIS YEAR, AS THE PAST 11 YEARS, I AM CHAIRMAN OF THE RACE
EVENT.   MORE LATER.    THIS YEAR, THE HIGH SCHOOL club hOpe
WILL BE A CO-SPONSOR.

THE MAQUOKETA COUNTRY CLUB GOLF COURSE IS NOW OPEN FOR THE SEASON.   MARY IRWIN IS THE MANAGER.   YOU HAVE TO BE A MEMBER,
BUT THE RESTAURANT, TRUE RESTAURANT, IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
OUT OF TOWN VISITORS TO MAQUOKETA CAN PLAY AND PAY GREEN FEES.

THE APRIL 17TH KMAQ BUS TRIP TO SEE THE BREWERS PLAY THE GIANTS AT 
MILLER PARK IN MILWAUKEE IS OFF.   NOT ENOUGH SIGNED-UP TO GO.
