THIS AFTERNOON, THE SUN CAME OUT, BUT IT IS STILL COLD TODAY. LOOKS
LIKE OUR HIGH WILL BE 36. NO SNOW ON THE GROUND.
AT THE JACKSON COUNTY SUPERVISORS MEETING THIS WEEK, THERE WAS DISCUSSION
ON REMODELING THE JACKSON COUNTY SENIOR CENTER ON EAST QUARRY STREET,
JUST BEFORE THE ENTRANCE TO THE FAIRGROUNDS. THE RESTROOMS NEED TO BE
HANDICAPPED ACCESSABLE. THE PLAN IS TO INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE DOORS
AND THE STALLS TO ACCOMODATE WHEEL CHAIRS AND WALKERS. THE ESTIMATED
COST IS $10,000 TO $15,000. THE CENTER IS OVER 25 YEARS OLD AND IS USED A LOT, INCLUDING FOR SENIORS LOW COST BREAKFAST AND LUNCH 5 DAYS A WEEK.

CENTER. THE PUBLIC CAN SEE SNAKES UP CLOSE AND ACTUALLY WALK THROUGH
A GIANT 45-FOOT LONG SNAKE SKELETON REPLICA. THIS EXHIBIT, DEVELOPED
BY PURDUE UNIVERSITY, AND FEATURED AT THE INDIANA STATE FAIR, WILL BE
AT HURSTVILLE THROUGH MAY 2012. THERE IS NOW CHARGE TO SEE IT.
LOTS OF OTHER INTERESTING THINGS TO SEE AT THE CENTER. THERE IS ALSO
A NICE GIFT SHOP WITH GREAT GIFTS FOR CHRISTMAS.
THE MAQUOKETA VOLLEYBALL TEAMS PLAYS WAVERLY-SHELL ROCK AT 6 TONIGHT AT
