THE FORECAST WAS RIGHT FOR TODAY. IT WAS A GREAT DAY...SUNNY AND 68.
RAIN AND COOLER TOMORROW AND TOMORROW NIGHT, BUT GETTING BETTER AGAIN
THURSDAY AND NICER FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND.
THE CHAINLINK FENCE SAYS IT ALL AGAIN! GO CARDINALS!!! 10 - 1
AT 6:15 THIS MORNING, IT HAD ALREADY BEEN UPDATED AFTER MAQUOKETA'S 10TH WIN
LAST NIGHT IN PLAYOFF FOOTBALL. ALL SEASON LONG, THIS WEEKLY UPDATING
HAS BEEN DONE BY MIKE AND AMY FISHER. THEIR SON, DONNY OLSON, IS A JUNIOR
ON THE CARDINAL FOOTBALL TEAM AND SO THEY ARE VERY EXCITED TO BE ABLE
TO KEEP UPDATING THE FENCE. LAST NIGHT ALSO, UNION-LaPORTE CITY
IN A MILD UPSET, BEAT SOLON 39 TO 24. SOLON WAS 3-A CHAMPIONS LAST YEAR AND 2-A CHAMPS THE 3 YEARS BEFORE. SO, MAQUOKETA PLAYS UNION-LaPORTE CITY AT 7 P.M.
MONDAY NIGHT AT LaPORTE CITY WHICH IS LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF WATERLOO. THEY ARE IN OUR DISTRICT AND DURING THE REGULAR SEASON, THE CARDS BEAT THEM, THERE.
THIS THIRD PLAYOFF GAME WILL BE THE FIRST ONE FOR THE CARDINALS ON THE ROAD AND
NOT AT GOODENOW FIELD. MATT CLARK WILL BROADCAST THE GAME MONDAY NIGHT STARTING
AT 6:45 ON KMAQ AM, FM AND OUR WEB PAGE. AFTER THE CARDINALS WIN AGAIN,
THE NEXT PLAYOFF GAME WILL BE AT THE UNI-DOME AT CEDAR FALLS.
