WAS HELD LATE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AT THE OPEN-AIR NEW "VOLUNTEER HALL" ON THE FAIRGROUNDS IN MAQUOKETA,AT EAST END OF GRANDSTAND.
IT WAS SPONSORED BY THE POST AND LADIES AUXILIARY. BOILED CORN (FROM
NIM'S GARDENS) AND BUTTERFLY PORK SANDWICH PREPARED BY THE JACKSON COUNTY
PORK PRODUCERS ON THEIR MOBILE GRILL. ALONG WITH POTATO SALAD, BAKED BEANS,
AND ICE CREAM...A TASTY MEAL FOR ONLY $7.00! NOT A GOOD TURN-OUT, SORRY TO SAY, BUT THOSE WHO ATTENDED WERE HAPPY ABOUT THE FOOD AND MUSIC.
