OWNED A COUPLE MOTELS IN BRANSON. SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND, BOB, AND DAUGHTER ANN IN CASA GRANDE, DAUGHTER PAT IN ST. CHARLES, MO.
AND SON R.F. KEELEY IN BRANSON. ALSO A STEP DAUGHTER RUTH IN FLORIDA.
ALSO 8 GRANDCHILDREN, FOUR SISTERS AND TWO BROTHERS. THE BODY WAS CREMATED AND NO SERVICES ARE PLANNED.
THEY ARE HAULING IN FILL AGAIN TODAY AND THE BIG HOLE DOWNTOWN IS NOT VERY DEEP ANYMORE. RUMOR HAS IT, THEY WILL NOT WORK NEXT WEEK AND THE WEEK AFTER WILL TAKE DOWN THE CORNER BUILDING.
IN BUSINESS NEWS, LAND O' LAKES ANNOUNCED TODAY ITS "INNOVATIVE PROTEINS FACILITY" IN MAQUOKETA (ORIGINALLY BUILT AND USED FOR A SWISS VALLEY FARMS MILK PLANT) HAS BEEN SOLD TO A NETHERLANDS BASED COMPANY, THAT HAS FACILITIES IN THE NETHERLANDS, BELGIUM AND GERMANY.
SONAC, USA IS THE NEW OWNERS OF THE MAQUOKETA PLANT. THE CHEIF CEO
FOR LAND O' LAKES SENT A LETTER TO MAYOR JASON HUTE ANNOUNCING THE
SALE. IN THE LETTER, HE SAID THE TRANSITION BETWEEN THE TWO COMPANIES SHOULD BE RELATIVELY SEAMLESS FOR THE PLANT AND ITS EMPLOYEES. SONAC
HAS INDICATED IT PLANS TO OPERATE THE MAQUOKETA PLANT AND KEEP ITS CURRENT STAFF, OF AROUND 25. THE PLANT MANAGER HERE IN TOWN IS
KENT FUGLSANG.
