"COMMON SENSE" WOULD ALLOW THE GAMES TO BE PLAYED. BUT, THAT WOULD
BE AGAINST THE RULES.
WHAT IS LEFT OF THE BRUSH PILE HERE IN MAQUOKETA.
IN YESTERDAY'S DAILY, I MENTIONED THE MULCH WAS
TRUCKED AWAY. NOT SO. MAYBE LATER?

TO BE EMPTIED.
NANCY AND I DECIDED TO GO FOR A RIDE TO BELLEVUE LAST NIGHT.
WE DO IT OFTEN! LOVE THAT MISSISSIPPI RIVER CITY. AND A FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT, "FLATTED FIFTH BLUES AND BBQ"...A TOUCH OF NEW ORLEANS
IN THE HISTORIC POTTERS MILL. THESE DAYS, A VERY SAFE PLACE TO
EAT WITH AMPLE DISTANCING. I HAD A GREAT BBQ CHICKEN SALAD
SANDWICH AND NANCY, A TASTY BOWL OF VEGETABLE SOUP. VISITED WITH
OWNERS MARK AND RACHEL HERMAN.
AND BEFORE COMING HOME, A STOP AT "GRANDPA'S PARLOUR" FOR AN ICE CREAM CONE. A SINGLE DIP (HUGE) OF CHOCOLATE-MINT FOR ME AND A STRAWBERRYFOR NANCY, BOTH IN WAFFLE CONE. GREAT ANYTIME, ESPECIALLY ON A HOT
SUMMER NIGHT. YES....I ENJOY TALKING ST. LOUIS BASEBALL WITH OWNER ERIC (FLATJORD) TOO. HE'S A LONGTIME CARDINAL FAN. PRETTY SURE HIS WIFE
KRISTY IS ALSO.
BELLEVUE'S RIVER FRONT IS ONE OF FINEST ALONG THE RIVER WITH CHANCE
OFTEN TO WATCH A BARGE GO THROUGH THE LOCK AND DAM. OVER THE
YEARS, WHENEVER WE HAD VISITORS FROM WISCONSIN, I TOOK THEM TO SEE
THE LOCK OPERATE. A GREAT TOURIST ATTRACTION FOR BELLEVUE.
HOPE YOU TOO GET TO VISIT BELLEVUE AGAIN, SOON.
