A NEW POLICE CAR WAS PURCHASED, THROUGH A STATE BID, FROM STIVER'S FORD-LINCOLN IN DES MOINES, OF $26,409.
A REQUEST WAS DENIED FOR A WAIVER ON SNOW REMOVAL ON A SIDEWALK
THAT LEADS TO NO-WHERE.
IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE ENTIRE 100 BLOCK OF SOUTH MAIN WILL
BE CLOSED NEST WEEK FOR RE-CONSTRUCTION AND THAT THOSE
EFFECTED ARE URGED TO ATTEND THE 8 A.M. WEEKLY MEETING AT CITY HALL FOR DETAILS ON THE CLOSING.
AND A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WAS SET FOR MAY 23RD FOR A
BUDGET AMENDMENT AND WILL START AT 6:30 P.M. AND OPEN AT CITY
HALL TO THE PUBLIC.
AT THE SUPERVISORS MEETING TODAY, THERE WAS MORE DISCUSSION ON
4 DAY 10 HOUR SHIFTS THIS SUMMER FOR SECONDARY ROAD EMPLOYEES.
THE ISSUE WILL BE VOTED-ON AT NEXT TUESDAY'S MEETING.

SCHOOL. SHE IS DAUGHTER OF GARY AND TRICIA KILBURG WILL WILL BE
ATTENDING NORTHERN IOWA THIS FALL.
