THURSDAY DAILY REPORT

WE WERE LOOKING FOR SUNSHINE TODAY....AND NONE.  CONSEQUENTLY A HIGH OF ONLY 31.
WARMER TOMORROW.
WEEKEND LOOKS OKAY, BUT A CHANCE OF SNOW ON SUNDAY.
WEEKEND HIGHS IN UPPER 30'S.

AFTER A 29 YEAR CAREER WITH THE JACKSON COUNTY CONSERVATION
DEPARTMENT, ANN BURNS WILL BE RETIRING MAY 31ST.  SHE STARTED
AS A PART-TIME NATURALIST IN 1985.      ANN AND HER HUSBAND KEVIN HAVE TWO CHILDREN AND TWO GRANDCHILDREN.   SHE TOLD KMAQ SHE IS
LOOKING FORWARD TO A MORE FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE.     THE BOARD WILL
ADVERTISE FOR HER POSITION IMMEDIATELY.

THE AVERAGE PRICE FOR FARMLAND DROPPED ALL OVER IOWA IN 2014.
IN JACKSON COUNTY,  THE DROP WAS 4.9 PERCENT, DOWN TO $7,108 PER ACRE.
